Emiley Brewer will be the Hike Support Coordinator (HSC) during the hike. She became involved last year while we conducted the Emerald Isle Screening of the movie "The Hike Back." She immediately took over registration before we even considered finding an HSC.
My WHY for volunteering is to make a difference by helping those who have also struggled with suicide and depression and need somebody to be there without judgment. I have struggled with depression and suicide, and my way "out" was always volunteering for a purpose. I was a volunteer firefighter and have always jumped at any volunteer position I could get into to help others. It secretly helps me with my own problems.
We have set a goal for each team member to raise $500, for a team total of $2,500. Your support in this fundraiser is crucial to helping us prepare for our hike on November 16th, 2024, and continue our mission through the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.
